About

My name is Michelle.  I am currently working as a Deer and Plant Biology intern at Fire Island National Seashore.  I have a Master’s degree in Biosecurity & Conservation at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. I love nature, animals and traveling.  My skills include editing and writing. For the longest time, I worked at a vitamin company in phone sales until one day I had had enough. While it was a great experience and equipped me with a multitude of skills, my true calling is in conservation and that’s when I decided to go back to school and make something of my passion. I don’t regret it for a minute.  I am married with a wonderful writer-teacher husband. We have a rescued Sato dog and a Quaker parrot.
